B-17 - NPC Reference Sheet

Here's my NPC reference sheet for ! It's just been sitting here in my computer for a while.

Anyways, here's B-17 (AKA Butterfly)!

Sexuality: Too child-minded to even start considering that.

Nationality: Used to be Austfortian, but now is Letalian.

Job: Wanderer / Medicine-Man


Height: 6’

Weight: 176 lbs

Personality: B-17 is very child-minded and naïve. He tends to be overly optimistic, and always sees the best in people. He loves to help anyone and everyone, and will offer free healing services to anyone who wants and/or needs it. He can come off as being a bit creepy sometimes because of his inability to process certain information, such as acting upon sarcastic comments. He rarely becomes angry, and he would always prefer to avoid confrontation.


Likes: Playing, Roma, plants, tea

Dislikes: bullies, mean people, pain

Fears/phobias: None

Favourite colour: Green

Favourite food(s): Honey, raw fish

Favourite drink(s): Tea

Hobbies: Collecting plants and seeds, playing with Roma, mixing up herbal medicines for people

Talents/skills: Has an unusually bright mind when it comes to plants. He can tell you right off that the Letalian Rose can cure headaches if its leaves are boiled and spiced with cinnamon.


Peaceful or aggressive: Peaceful. He’ll only act in self-defense… or attack animals if he’s hunting for food.

Fighting skills/techniques: Can merge with/manipulate plants…? (I guess this counts if he manipulates a giant Man-eating plant.) Also, walloping stuff with his staff.

Weapon of choice: Physical: Manipulate plants to slowdown/maim/kill opponent while fleeing
Other: Hit it with a stick until it stops moving if escape is impossible.



Enemies: No natural enemies. Thieves tend to remember him and call upon his services (especially after some rough fighting). Townsfolk seem to like him.





Basic Summary of role in Letalis: Butterfly is a medicine-man who simply became bored of staying in a little village of squirrel-cat creatures. Setting off with his pet snapdragon, Roma, he’s determined to wander every inch of Letalis, learn about the land and its plants, and then bring the information back to the village.


Basic History: _{Gosh, basic history is basic.}Butterfly was once a human medical experiment in the country of Austfort. He was lured into Letalis by Ominus around the time of the first tournament. After a few adventures in this new land, his soul was kidnapped by the demon Luigi and subjected to fighting in El Castello de Despierazione. After the ending of this small string of fighting (otherwise known as the Dungeon Branch of the original IF), Butterfly’s soul was restored to his body, and he was returned to the Agon Mountain region of Letalis, where he was found and ‘adopted’ by a small village of cat-squirrel-creatures. As life in the village progressed, they noticed his fascination with plants and apprenticed him under their local medicine-man.
Now, 3 years later, he finds himself wandering, having grown bored of local village life. He puts his knowledge of medicinal plants to good use, and this helps him find his way from place to place and providing him with some minimal income…

Allegiances: Himself, the land

About Roma: Roma is a Golden-Snapdragon, an omnivorous plant that resembles a snake. She is a grumpy plant, and she’ll snap and bite any stranger that comes too near. She usually coils up around Butterfly’s chest and over his shoulders, though you can find her slithering beside him too. She’ll coil up around prey or attackers and squeeze (like an anaconda). The flowers that grow from her neck are very strong sedatives and pain-killers; they are used sometimes by Butterfly to treat patients.


Tidbits!:
Whenever Butterfly merges with a plant, anything that he is touching will merge too. This helps him retain his clothes, thank the lord.
Butterfly’s favorite game is “I Spy”.
(For those who knew Butterfly from before): Butterfly can no longer descend into his ‘tantrum’. Kind love and treatment from the village that adopted him as pretty much made that most undesirable emotive state vanish.
Yes, his arms are made of blood. He is a universal donor, and can do small blood transfusions through wounds.
He HATES hurting people. He'll try to help in any way possible if someone asks something of him. He just can't refuse a plea for help, unless if it directly contradicts his "don't hurt anybody unless they need to be hurt" belief.



Annnnd, that's about it. I'll probably go back and go more in-depth about some of the stuff, but this is the main information right here.
