Butterfly


Age: 20 years


Height: 6 feet 5 inches ( 1.98 meters )


Weight: 198 lbs ( 89.81 kilograms )


Personality: Butterfly is very calm and laid-back when he’s normal. It takes something very horrible to anger him, but his anger can easily descend into a tantrum, so the Amoris generally try to keep him neutral or happy. (See Misc. Odds and Ends for Tantrums).
He loves making new friends and will go out of his way to be friendly to ‘strangers’, even to the point of stalking them. He’s very innocent too.


Faction: Butterfly is neutral. The only alliance he holds is with his Amori tribe. However, he may be swayed by future events.

Butterfly was once a human experiment in the country of Austfort. Lured into the magical realm of Letalis by Ominus, he was deposited in the Agon Mountain region, where he first met the Amori tribe. He later met a small boy named Tobi, who he became quick friends with. However, Butterfly was later kidnapped, had his soul separated from his body, and was thrown into the dungeons of El Castello (Infractus Fatality Dungeon Branch). There, he met new friends.

After the dungeon overseer had finished with him, Butterfly was reunited with his body and deposited back in Letalis. Here, he wandered aimlessly until he found the Amori tribe once again. They accepted him into their midst cautiously before discovering he could be very useful. His ability to mimic blood types became very useful to the Amori wounded, and the Amoris medicine man began to teach him what he now knows.

He now is the medicine man for the Amori tribe with a rather extensive knowledge of plants. He has been completely accepted into the Amori society and has absorbed enough of their customs and beliefs that he believes that even he is an Amori (albeit a very large and hairless one). He dismisses memories of his experimentation in Austfort as a bad dream and will grow irritated if it is brought up.

Abilities: After settling down with the Amori tribe, Butterfly began to find that Letalis was influencing his ‘magical side’ to surface. He was rather ignorant at first, dismissing some of the signs as accidents or just not registering them as ‘signs’ (he is a bit slow in the head after all). Finally, though, he managed to absorb a small sapling into himself, cementing his link to plants.
Butterfly can manipulate and merge into plants and trees. He can control sentient plants to some degree if he merges with them. Regular plants he can control fully. If he pours his energy into the plant, he can force it to grow at an exponential rate, which can be used as a weapon (i.e. super-sized venus fly-trap). He can also leech energy from plants if he is low on energy.
He also keeps many seeds hidden away in his bloody arms. He can sprout these at any times, so he usually keeps edible flower seeds. He also has a few vine seeds in case he comes across a dead animal which he wants to take home to eat (in which case he will tie it up and drag it home).



Misc. Odds and Ends:

• Butterfly is generally very peaceful and calm. However, he can and will sometimes throw horrible tantrums. During these tantrums, he will turn on former friends and attack. His emotions during these times are usually geared towards aggression, confusion, and insatiable hunger. Because of this, the Amoris captured a Golden Snapdragon and gifted it to Butterfly. They taught him to eat the flowers, which would calm him enough to cancel out the tantrums.
  
  
• Butterfly will babysit the Amori children often. He can usually be found with at least one or two little fur balls stuffed into the pouch hooked onto his belt.



• Butterfly loves painting himself. He usually paints swirls with fruit and flower dyes.



• Butterfly is very, very thin.



• Butterfly is very slow as far as his brain goes. He tends to be slow in giving answers, digesting answers, or responding to insults. His speech is normal though, although rather childlike.



• Butterfly has an enormous hunger problem. He eats at least two times as much as normal men and doesn’t seem to be able to appropriately identify food items (unless if they’re plants). He’s just as likely to think that paper is food as a piece of candy. The Amoris tend to check the food he brings home to make sure it isn’t rotten/bad/not food.



• The only reason that Butterfly can actually lift Roma (who’s almost as heavy as he is) is because he has no muscles and his arms are governed solely by magnetic fields.

Roma


Length: approximately 8 ½ feet ( approx 2.6 meters )


Weight: 153 pounds ( 69.4 kg )


Mini-Biography: Roma was captured by the Amoris when she was half-way through snapdragon ‘childhood’. This was when she was given to Butterfly. She grew quickly while she was with him, completing her ‘childhood’ and advancing into ‘teenager years’ within six months. She adores Butterfly, though she often can get nippy and irritated when she’s ignored, hungry, or blooming. She absolutely detests adult Amoris, though she loves looking at child Amoris and fantasizing about eating them (she eats small animals and fruits).


Personality: Roma is a very suspicious snapdragon. Extremely paranoid of strangers and strange things, she loves to snap at strange things or strangers that get too close to her or Butterfly. She’s also very lazy, enough to the point that she prefers being carried around and fed rather than finding her own food. (Because of this, she’s massive in terms of snapdragon size and technically ‘overweight’ –for her snapdragon age-).


Misc. Odds and Ends:

• Because of her weight problem, Roma began throwing out roots (near the end of her tail). When heavier, snapdragons usually root themselves down. However, Butterfly cuts the roots so she can remain mobile.


• Roma eats lots of fruits and small animals. She’s been trained to keep away from Amori children, though she’ll still snap and try to eat one every so often.


• As Roma gets older, she will get longer and heavier. Most female snapdragons end up around twenty feet long and will eventually grow legs, arms, and sometimes wings.
