Hahaha, New OC! :3 (Not MCA related, so don't group him with Pan and Butterfly and the others).
Name: Mengele Patch Age: 43 years old (still child/teen in bogey years) Race: Bogeyman
The Bogey Guidlines of Law:
All transpirings between Bogeys and human should only be to inspire fear, except in the case of a undertaker.
Any romantic happenings between Bogeys and humans will result in the Bogey being stripped of their power and cast out of Fae society.
No Bogey shall keep the same village for more than 5 years. This is to prevent any fondness and/or bad habits.
Cemeteries are wonderful places to eat and rest. Strike a deal with the undertaker as quickly as possible to ensure a constant food source.
Bogeys may only take a child under a week for their own. If the child is under 3 days old, the bogey is free to eat it as he sees fit.
Disguising oneself as a human in order to sneak into a human village and buy meat or sugars is perfectly acceptable.
Little children under the age of five who are found outside of the outskirts of town and are not within 30 meters of a person older than 6 years old can be kidnapped but not eaten. This is a wonderful way to send a whole village into a frenzy while the bogey has his fun scaring the child half to death.
Bogeys are not allowed to eat after dark because it will interfere with the terror organ and possibly damage it. If a Bogey is hungry, they must only eat the childs fear.
Etcetera, etcetera.
____________
Personality: Patch is a generally cheery fellow with a chock-load of ego about himself. He enjoys what he does, but also likes to go against guidelines and rules, pushing to the farthest he can without getting into trouble. When he becomes hungry or paranoid or suspicious, his mood will slowly shift to a darker place, where he is more apt to reason with himself that maybe killing or breaking the rules entirely would not be such a bad idea. One thing that sets him apart from other bogeys is his constant desire to talk. This has gotten him into trouble on a number of occasions, where he has stayed in children's room and talked instead of scaring them and capturing the fear to eat.
History: Patch was born as a human in a small village on the outskirts of old Paris. When he was five days old, he was stolen away by the local Bogeyman, who turned him over to the Fae council. They fed him a concoction of bogey skin and hair and blackworm root before magicking him. It took a full week for every ounce of anything human in him to disappear. He was taken care of by the council till age twenty, when Bogeymen consider the children 'old' enough to start their frightening. Patch was assigned to a small village on the coast of France. After that, he had to switch villages every five years (see guidelines). It was at his fifth village that he encountered trouble. Frankly, he fell in love with a human. He stalked her at her work and home, abandoning his duties as a Bogey, until he had enough pent up want to summon up the courage to reveal himself to the town in broad daylight and ask for the girl's hand in marriage. The girl's parents refused, and the villagers chased the Bogeyman out of town. This didn't deter Patch however. He kept appearing outside her window, inside her room, weaving her flowers and birds and shapeshifting into princes and dragons as he told her stories, hoping to win over her imagination and trust, and thus her heart. The fifth year came and it was time to change villages. Patch remained behind, ignoring the orders. When the new Bogey came to claim the village, Patch drove him away. The Bogey reported to the Council, and Patch was summoned. Since he couldn't refuse a direct summons, Patch returned to the council grounds, where he was captured and stripped of shapeshifting powers. He was left with a bit of illusion magick, so he could make his way around the world posing as a gifted human (albeit looking undead, having hooves, and being a bit too green). On his way back, Patch swore that he would somehow gain the powers back, even if it wasn't the best way. Upon returning to his village, Patch trailed and attacked the Bogeyman that had taken over for him. After killing him, Patch ate his eyes and heart (where Bogey's keep their magic). Because of his still somewhat semi-magical nature, Patch could retain this magick and merge it with his own.
Patch now has established total Fae dominance of that region and will attack any magical creature that comes within the borders in order to gain their magick and grow stronger. Because he still hasn't regained the ability to shapeshift (a higher form of magick), he takes the skins of those that he has killed or stolen from the cemetery to make a grisly assortment of suits. He developed a fondness for needles and has a large assortment of threads and needles and pins in the bags he has at his sides. His nights are spent with the girl, now 17, and his days are spent hunting for magickal creatures and his old bogey activities.
Powers:
Has illusion magick
is somewhat immortal (can be killed, but can't die naturally)
has the ability to eat fear (because of a small organ located in his throat
is very fast
has a dulled sense of pain
can take any part of a dead/defeated person or thing and sew it onto himself. He can then use that thing. (for example, if his hand got cut off, he could sew someone else's hand there and use it).
Extra:
Patch has a fondness for wolf meat.
He has killed 7 other Bogeys that have tried to take his village.
Bogeys are very territorial creatures. If one enters another land, the one who owns the land will almost immediately know and grow angry.
Bogeys are very susceptible to sugar. A common way to deter a Bogey from a child's bed is to leave out a bowl of sugared milk for him to drink.
Patch likes butterscotch candies. Period.
He has proposed to the girl multiple times, but she is frightened of how her parents would react if she accepted.
Patch has eaten children, though he really doesn't like the taste.
Patch really wants to get dragon wings that are small enough that he can sew them onto himself, but big enough so that he could actually fly.
FFFfff he's such a cool character OAO I like him a lot. If it's okay, I would like to draw him sometime X]
